Brief Author Biographies

Anantanand Rambachan is a professor in the Department of Religion at St. Olaf
College in Northfield, Minnesota, where he has been teaching courses in
Hinduism and other Asian religions for the past twelve years. He is active in
the Hindu community in Minnesota and frequently travels to various
parts of the United States, Canada, and the Caribbean to speak to Hindu
groups. He has written extensively on Hinduism and has had books published by
the University of Hawaii Press and by Motilal Banarsidass in India. Professor
Rambachan has contributed chapters to numerous books and articles to
various scholarly and popular journals and has delivered twenty one lectures on
Hinduism which were transmitted around the world by the British Broadcasting
Corporation.

Craig Rice
is a Educational Technologies Consultant
at St. Olaf College and holds
a Master's Degree in Comparative International Development Education
from the University of Minnesota. Craig is a co-creator of the Intercultural
E-Mail Classroom Connections (IECC) project which helps link almost 7,000
teachers in over 80 countries for Internet and e-mail class projects.
Craig is also Principal Consultant
of The Manitou Heights Group, a Web consulting company focusing on
International Educators.
Craig has been pursuing his interest in
Hinduism since 1991 and has made multiple trips to South and Southeast Asia.
He shares Professor Rambachan's enthusiasm
in fostering an understanding of Hinduism.
